In type I diabetes, the body does not produce insulin at all. So, people suffering from this condition have to inject themselves with insulin on a daily basis to survive.
Most of people who have diabetes type I (about 10% of diabetics) are children and young adults.
In type II diabetes, the body still produces insulin (although in some cases, less insulin) but the body has problems reacting to the insulin and thus do not process food properly, resulting in an elevated blood glucose level, which is not good. Most type II …

Both. Here’s what happens. If your blood sugar level is high, that means the sugar is outside of the cell walls instead of inside. This causes the cells to be larger then they should be. They get blocked in the capillaries, causing it to fail. As the capillaries die, you loose the function of where ever it was located. In this case, you are talking about the eyes, though it could also be your toes, kidneys, heart, etc.

I have so many life threatening conditions and cannot always remember what drugs or food I am eating which is of course no help to the medics.
If someone could suggest somewhere I could get something, bearing in mind that I am full time unemployed.
