I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes with my previous pregnancy and it never went away so I now have type 2 diabetes. I am 11 weeks pregnant now and am a little worried about what effect this is going to have on this baby. A midwife I spoke to said that type 2 can turn into type 1 during pregnancy, it sounds a bit unreal but if anyone has got type 2 diabetes and pregnant, please let me know what you are doing to control your sugars etc. Thanks

I was diagnosed with gestostial diabetes with my daughter but took no medication, 4 years after her birth diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, took medicane for 1 year but I no longer have to.Just have to watch what I eat and exercise. I now want to have another baby just wondreing if it’s safe for me, don’t want to die giving birth!

Most fruits are high in sugar and carbs. If you eat any of them, just have a taste. They send blood sugar high. It’s harder to control your sugar level when you are type 2. You really have to watch what you eat.

I just found out that I have TYPE 2 diabetes, and I have just started to lose the extra 50lbs that I carry around on me everyday. Do I HAVE to take medication for it, and if so, is there one that DOES not make you gain weight?????? Can I just change my diet and it will “fix” itself?
