How To Gain Weight With Type 2 Diabetes.?

I have a cousin that was recently diagnose with diabetes. He used to be a normal looking young man. Now he is waaaayyy to skinny. I am very worried about him. He is 5′9 and weight 140 pds. This is skin and bones. Is this normal? What can he do to gain at least a little weight back?

    According to my BMI calculator, he’s fine. Better to be skinny than fat when you’re diabetic. Since I changed my diet and started exercising, my weight came down 50 pounds. I may look skinny, but I feel great and my blood sugar is much easier to manage. Don’t worry unless he’s having trouble managing his blood sugar or doesn’t feel right. Healthy diets can do that.

    check with doctor, also be mindful that within the last 14 days NPR (National Public Radio), did a report on a study of folks with diabities, two groups one give meds and told to watch their sugar intake, the other told to eat normally… the group that ate normally had a higher survial rate than those given meds and watched their sugar… check this out and then talk with your doctor… the doctor may not be aware of the latest news on the subject… to gain weight and maintain nutrients… try ensure (vanallia taste great)
