The best diet plan for ANY diabetic is to learn all you can about counting carb/sugar calories taken in and estimating calories burnt. Learn what foods are safe to eat a lot of and which ones to avoid excessive amounts of. For example. It’s fairly safe to eat all the green vegetables you want…. and, it’s not safe to eat four slices of bread all at once. That sort of thing. Avoid all fried stuff ,use groundnut or canola oil if you must and not more than 2 spoons per day. Be sure to use clarified butter (ghee) 2 spoons per day. Use plenty of fresh fruits and vegtables– ideally 5 servings per day. And all dibetics must take a statin and aspirin pill a day to keep lipids normal and ward off stroke and heart attack.

Just because you’ve had part of your pancreas removed doesn’t necessarily make you a diabetic. You should go to your doctor to be tested if you have any suspicions that you are a diabetic. The “three classic symptoms” of diabetes are polydipsia - excessive thirst, polyphagia - excessive hunger, and polyuria - excessive urination. If you have any of those you should definitely see a doctor.
