In type I diabetes, the body does not produce insulin at all. So, people suffering from this condition have to inject themselves with insulin on a daily basis to survive.
Most of people who have diabetes type I (about 10% of diabetics) are children and young adults.

I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes with my previous pregnancy and it never went away so I now have type 2 diabetes. I am 11 weeks pregnant now and am a little worried about what effect this is going to have on this baby. A midwife I spoke to said that type 2 can turn into type 1 during pregnancy, it sounds a bit unreal but if anyone has got type 2 diabetes and pregnant, please let me know what you are doing to control your sugars etc. Thanks

If someone could suggest somewhere I could get something, bearing in mind that I am full time unemployed.

Adult onset diabetes is type II, although more recently due to the growing obesity problem in children, this form can also show up in children. This usually does not require insulin injections because it is a metabolic disorder where the body is not responding to insulin. Type II is characterized by hyperglycemia, which means high …
