My boyfriends diabetic brother drinks like a fiend. He doesn’t monitor his blood sugar, but he does follow a very strict diet.(No sugar, patatoes, ect.) Any suggestions would be helpful.

Like what is normal for carbs, calories, and all that stuff. I have to get in shape(the right way ) for softball. So any meal plans, or what is good for me would be a huge help.

I am a 23-year-old Type I diabetic, and though not overweight, I would like to lose a few unneeded pounds. As you may know, the use of insulin often negates weight-loss efforts, and I have struggled for some time now to get back to my “ideal” weight. If anyone can recommend a good diet program or even throw out some suggestions of how to combat this problem, it would be greatly appreciated!!

You should consult your doctor about nutrition with regards to diabeties. It’s a very serious matter and you shouldn’t be getting answers from random people on the web

The only treatment for type 1 diabetes in insulin, although healthy diet and regular exercise help a lot. Even though insulin used to come from pancreas, it is grown in a laboratory now (human recombinant DNA). Eating raw pancreas won’t have any affect on diabetics, because it will be digested in the stomach and intestines, insulin and all.

The main thing is eating “good” carbs fresh fruits,vegetables and whole grains in appropriate quantities, not “bad” carbs starchy foods and vegetables. The South Beach diet explains the difference very well. Hope this helps.
Amyflag is right I went too low on carbs and ate too much protein for awhile and my kidney function tested abnormal until I reduced the protein.

i have been told by my doctor that i am pre-diabetic and i also am irregular going to the bathroom. i would like to know what i need to improve my health and go to the bathroom more than 2=3 times per week

Hey my dad asked me to find him some facts and good diets for him to lose a bit of weight. He’s 180 cm tall weighs 80 kg’s and he has been on the border of being a diabetic for 10 or so years. Anyway he was just interested in some facts and good diets for people like him.
Any ideas?

i was tired of not being able to do anything as a teenager…and as i took my self off everything i was good…now ive been under a lot of stress with teenage drama and i think it aggravated my body cause everything is different..im always hungry and i get my period for 1 day ..plus ive been having pains in my side…i don’t want to make a big deal about it cause i don’t want to live in the doctors office again…so what should i do?
