There are some great low glycemic nutri bars that she might like. Also, there are some great low glycemic shakes too. Obviously, they won’t cure her diabetes but they might be helpful.

There is no such thing as a diabetic diet plan that fits everyone. That is an urban myth.http://www.diabetes.org will have some good suggestions but theirs is very high carbohydrate plan.
I like the South Beach food plan phase 2. I use it as a guide, but do not absolutely follow it to the letter. There are some items on their menus that cause me to have a very high spike in glucose level.
