Will Type 2 Diabetes Be Triggered By Excessive Intake Of Sugar?

26 August 2009 141 views 3 Comments

Not necessarily!! It can be triggered by all the foods that contain carbohydrates!! If the pancreas decides to over produce insulin, or under produce insulin or if the muscles suddenly refuse to respond to the natural insulin and accept the carbohydrates as food, then you have diabetes.

Yes. By sugar or any other sweetener that triggers insulin release.

Are you asking whether it’s possible for an excessive intake of sugar to give you type 2 diabetes or are you asking whether an excessive intake of sugar will affect someone with type 2 diabetes? If, over a long period of time, sugar is excessively a part of your diet, then you can become diabetic as your receptor cells become less receptive to insulin. If you already have type 2 diabetes and you take in a large amount of sugar you can do serious damage to your body.
